X+1

Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 2, 2026

X+1 is a study app for students, in English and Hebrew. We want everyone to be able to use it, including people with disabilities, and we are working to make it accessible.

1. Our accessibility target

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and the Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on them. This is our target, not a claim of full conformance: some parts of X+1 do not meet it yet (see section 3).

2. What we have done

  • A "skip to main content" link and a clear page structure (headings and landmarks) for keyboard and screen-reader users.
  • Buttons and links can be reached and used with the keyboard, and icon-only buttons have text names for screen readers.
  • Full Hebrew and English interfaces, with the layout mirrored for right-to-left reading.
  • Light and dark themes, and text colours that are checked for contrast.
  • Content written by students or generated from their uploads is marked with its own language and text direction.

3. Known limitations

  • Math diagrams and other diagrams generated by AI are drawn as images and may not have a full text description.
  • Some interactive question types, such as matching, ordering, and labelling parts of an image, may not yet offer a full keyboard alternative.
  • Math formulas may not be read aloud correctly by every screen reader.
  • Course content is generated by AI from the material you upload, so its structure and image descriptions depend on that material.
  • Videos from other websites that appear in study guides are provided by those websites, and we do not control their accessibility.

4. Contact the accessibility coordinator

If you find something that is hard or impossible to use, or you need content in another form, please write to the X+1 accessibility coordinator. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use.
